We proudly provide continuing education opportunities for professionals interested in further developing play therapy skills.
The Oklahoma Association for Play Therapy (OKAPT) has been organized as a state chapter of the national Association for Play Therapy (APT), a professional society formed in 1982 to foster contact among psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, counselors, marriage and family therapists, and other mental health professionals interested in exploring and, when developmentally appropriate, applying the therapeutic power of play to communicate with and treat clients, particularly children.
