I hope you are staying warm in this weather!  I just wanted to give everyone an update about what has been happening with OKAPT.  As of yesterday, the election has closed for the 2017-2019 board.  We will be counting up the votes and meeting as a board before announcing the results.  Before the conference on January 28th, we will let all those who ran for board positions know the results.  We will then announce the election results at the conference, and will send out the results in a newsletter to those who were unable to attend the conference.

Those members that are newly-elected board members are encouraged to attend the board meeting that will be held during lunch time of the conference.  The new board members will officially start their term on April 1, 2017 and will end their term on March 31, 2019.  Join us at the conference to be the first to know who will be on the board!

About the conference: YOU ARE NOW ABLE TO REGISTER VIA OUR WEBSITE!  You can choose to pay for the conference with a credit card, or you can register to pay at the door.  The conference will feature Dr. Robert Jason Grant, author of Autplay Therapy Handbook and creator of Autplay Therapy®.  His presentation entitled “Play Therapy for Autism, ADHD, and other Neurodevelopmental Disorders,” will be one you won’t want to miss.  Six hours of continuing education credit will be available for LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCs, and LBPs, as well as six hours of direct play therapy credit from APT.  OKAPT members get an added bonus for their membership by getting 3 additional FREE CEUs offered Friday evening with a paid admission to the conference on Saturday.  You will also be able to register for the Friday night workshops on the website.  Register today and spread the word:
