Season Greetings OKAPT  Members,

I hope you are all enjoying the Holiday season! It is such a busy time of year and I know we are all excited to get a break.

Just a reminder the conference will be January 24th and 25th in Oklahoma City for the first time ever. We are excited to announce after dedicated work, Paris Goodyear-Brown has agreed to be our keynote speaker. Don’t miss out on this awesome training session and opportunity to network with other OKAPT members. You can register at the OKA4PT.com. We will be have the Annual Meeting after lunch on Saturday, January 25th. I hope to see you all there!

As the year and decade comes to a close I want to encourage you to self reflect. Self reflection is very important in the work we do as therapists. It helps our personal growth along with professional growth as a play therapist. Reflect on the accomplishments that you have achieved as well as mistakes you may have made. Take this information to continue to push yourself to become the person you want to be. We have all worked so very hard to improve the lives of others and, I am very proud to be a part of all we have done and continue to do.

I am very excited to start this new year and decade with OKAPT. We will continue to serve those in need and make a lasting impact on the world around us.

Sharon Beets LPC-S, RPT-S
2019 OKAPT President
