Hi, I am Simonne Jones, I started working with children in childcare centers at a young age, including running a home childcare, teaching preschool to working in an adolescent inpatient program. I have focused a tremendous amount of years on working with people with disabilities. I worked for the State of Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services as a vocational counselor and a business liaison. I trained companies on how to employ people with disabilities to promote inclusion and diversity in the workplace. I enjoy speaking, teaching, and presenting about my passion for working with families and children. I currently work as a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in my private practice Humblebee Counseling. I offer CEU trainings to other therapists in the community. I am currently approaching my last year of my PhD program in the Human Development Psychology program and plan to graduate next year. I have a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and I have a small baking company on the side.

Friday Afternoon – Duration: 3 hours
Presenter: Simonne Jones, LPC-S, RPT-S™

+ Harnessing the Power of Pop Culture: Integrating Superheroes and Villains in Play Therapy for Diversity and Inclusion
Saturday – Duration: 6 hours
Presenter: Maria Laquerre-Diego, LMFT, RPT-S™
Course Description: In an era where pop culture deeply influences the lives of children and adolescents, harnessing the power of superheroes and villains in play therapy presents a unique opportunity to connect with clients on a meaningful level.
